We will guide you through a standard submission for sequencing data at the EGA. In this tour, we will teach you how to create all the metadata objects, as well as how to edit and delete them. Also, you will discover new features to make your submission experience as smooth as possible. For example, the option to add collaborators in a submission to allow brokering at the EGA! Or the possibility of modifying the summary tables to see only the information you are interested in. Let’s go!
Under each box, you can see the icons for each metadata object Study, Sample, Experiment, Run, Analyses, Dataset. The box will fill up as you register each object!
A yellow box means you are the owner of the submission, while an orange box means you are a collaborator in the submission. Depending on the permissions you were granted, you will only be able to check the submission, or you will be able to check and modify it. Also, all submissions must be approved by the Helpdesk team. When your submission is waiting for approval the colour of the box will only show in the lines.
Here you will find all the shortcuts to the most useful pages in the Submitter Portal. You can check specific objects registered in your submission (i.e. studies), but you can also create a new submission, or go to the DAC Portal directly! In this menu, you can also contact the Helpdesk team, using the “Need Help?” section, anytime you have an inquiry about your submission.
You could also start a new submission directly from the main landing page of the Submitter Portal by clicking the Create a Submission button.
